THE CANDIDATES AND THEIR CHOSEN REPERTOIRE FOR THE COMPETITION
The following pages contain brief CVs of the candidates and the pieces they have chosen to play. Of these 12 candidates participating in the Round I, up to 9 will be chosen to move to Round II where they will be joined by 3 first prize winners allowed to enter directly into Round II, and then six of these 12 will be selected to move to Round III and the final Round IV. There will be no eliminations between Round III and Round IV.
The order of the listing of the candidates and the number assigned to each as well as the order in which they will perform in Round I will be determined by draw just before the commencement of the competition.
By extension, the actual candidates and their numbers chosen to move to Round II was not known at the time of the writing of this program and ,hence ,candidates can not be referred to by their actual numbers and names in Rounds II to IV.
At the end of each Round the list of candidates moving to the next will be published in the Society’s web site www.chopinsocietyhk.org as well as posted at the entrance of the City Hall Concert Hall.
Candidates whose names are marked by ( W ) are first prize winners of competitions which are members of the International Federation of Music Competitions and who are entitled to enter directly into Round II of the competition.

A postgraduate degree holder from the Julliard School of Music where she studied under O.Yablonskaya and Y.Kaplinsky.She participated and won prizes in competitions such as the William Kapell, the Piano Texas Concerto Competition and the Nagoya International Piano Competition .She has played with, among others, the L.A Philharmonic, Utah Symphony and Nagoya Philharmonic.
