Jewel Orchestras of the World Series    The Kamerata-The Friends of Music Orchestra, Athens

The Kamerata, consisting of 24 string players, was founded in 1991 by the Friends of Music Society in Athens, Greece and is now the house orchestra of Megaron Mousikis, the Athens Concert Hall. The orchestra�s repertory covers a wide span of works, which includes numerous modern Greek composers. Under the baton of its first and present conductor and artistic director, A.Myrat, the Kamerata has toured extensively overseas and has a large and growing discography.
