Danis Koumartzis
 Danis was born in the village of Europos, in Northern Greece. He started his musical education from a very young age at first learning the piano and after a few years changing over to bouzouki.
At the age of 25, he moved to London in order to study Jazz Music Perfomance at the Middlesex University, where he stayed for about three years. At present he plays mainly the double base, working at a professional level with various well known singers and bands.
He has participated in various bands, including the “Lapino Project” , “Iliodromio” , “Rom Royale” and played as a session musician with artists such as Manolis Rasoulis, Melina Kana, Dimitris Zervoudakis, and others..
Alongside his career as a musician, he is also a luthier with the company “Anastasios Musical Instrument”, specializing in ancient Greek instruments (http://en.luthieros.com/).
Danis出生於希臘北部的村莊Europos。自小接受音樂教育，首先學習鋼琴，幾年後轉學希臘城市民間音樂的弦樂器bouzouki。
25歲那年，他搬到倫敦，花了三年時間在米德爾薩克斯大學學習爵士音樂演奏。目前，他主要演奏低音大提琴，與擁有專業水平的著名歌手及樂隊合作。
他曾參與演出的樂隊有 “Lapino Project” , “Iliodromio”, “Rom Royale”，並與Manolis Rasoulis，Melina Kana，Dimitris Zervoudakis等音樂家一起演出。
他除了以音樂演奏為職業外，還是“Anastasios Musical Instrument”的制琴師，專門制造古希臘樂器(http://en.luthieros.com/)。
